Objectives

Build a sports and community facility in Cape Town. This will become a base for all activities under the Stein Foundation name

Build a series of programmes that can operate anywhere to educate through sport

Engage with and support non-league and professional football league clubs in the UK to raise awareness and support

THORNTON SCHOOL RELAUNCH

Thornton Road Primary School went from the threat of imminent closure to a flourishing institution within four years, thanks to a group of committed staff, the school governing body and the support of the Stein Foundation.

FA DISABILITY FOOTBALL INITIATIVE

The Bedfordshire FA Ability Counts League, sponsored by Stein Foundation have provided wonderful opportunities for people with disabilities to play in football competitions for over ten years.

SUPPORTING THE BBC's PEOPLE'S CUP

Edwin Stein managed and won the BBC People's Cup u16's. The team were wearing new kit donated by The Stein Foundation.

WOBURN LIDO FACILITIES UPGRADE

When the lido was threatened with closure – such was the strength of feeling in the community about the importance of keeping it open, that a committee of local residents came together to save it.

 

The Stein Foundation was part of this initiative presenting the committee with a donation of £1,000.
